The manager of the Mariner Equity Management is Mariner Equity Management, LLC ("MEM"). The principle members of MEM include:
Martin C. Bicknell Patrick G. Doherty S. Kirk Lambright. Jr.
Martin C. Bicknell
Prior to forming MCP, Martin Bicknell was a Senior Vice President - Investments of A.G. Edwards & Sons. During his fifteen year tenure there, he led a staff of professional financial consultants in providing customized wealth management solutions for public and private corporations, high net-worth individuals and their families, and charitable organizations. In addition to managing the team, he was actively involved with the execution phase of the financial plans developed for the company's sophisticated clients.
In addition to his role with MCP, Martin is the Chief Executive Officer of Mariner Wealth Advisors, LLC, an investment advisory firm providing financial planning, consulting, and investment management services to high net worth individuals, companies, and foundations. He is a counselor and board member to several small to medium-sized businesses, including Xceligent, Inc., Pitt Plastics, Inc., National Mills, Inc., Zouire Incorporated, Bicknell Properties, LLC and National Pizza Company.
Martin received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Pittsburg State University in 1991.
Patrick G. Doherty
Prior to forming MCP, Pat Doherty was a Managing Director and Group Head of A.G. Edwards' Consumer and Industrial investment banking practice. During his tenure there, he led a staff of mergers & acquisition professionals which focused on executing sell-side and buy-side engagements for lower middle market and middle market privately-held corporations.
Mr. Doherty has over sixteen years of experience advising privately-held entrepreneur owned and operated businesses in ownership and managerial transitions. Before joining A.G. Edwards, Mr. Doherty was an investment banker in the mergers & acquisitions department at Dean Witter Reynolds in New York and held several management positions with Eagle Snacks, Inc. He is a board member of Reliv International, Inc. (NASD: RELV) and the Association for Corporate Growth- St. Louis.
Mr. Doherty received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University.
S. Kirk Lambright Jr.
Prior to forming MCP, Kirk Lambright has more than 12 years of comprehensive business and legal experience working with a diverse clientele from small to Fortune 500 to international arenas. Previously, he served as Associate General Counsel for Anheuser-Busch Companies. In addition, he owned Classic Eagle Distributing, L.L.C.
Over the years, Kirk has established a successful track record of spearheading change management, increasing market share and sales volume, reducing employee turnover, cutting cost, handling legislative issues, negotiating resolutions and managing diverse aspects of the total business. As a result of his varied background, Kirk has gained expertise in areas related to financial, logistical, marketing, human resources and product issues. In addition, he is a strong leader skilled in forging strategic partnerships.
Kirk received his undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri, Columbia, Missouri, and his Jude Doctorate and MBA from St. Louis University, St. Louis, Missouri. Active in the community, he volunteers with a number of charities and organizations.
